I am an award-winning, freelance journalist based in Los Angeles, CA. I have written for New America Media; the Los Angeles Watts Times, Sentinel and Wave newspapers; the Final Call; Black Agenda Report; Ebony; CounterPunch, Truth-Out and Daily Kos.

I am a former radio reporter for the KPFK Evening News (Pacifica-Los Angeles) and Free Speech Radio News (FSRN). I am a creator and/or co-creator of independent, grassroots media (newspapers, cable tv, radio) for over 20 years, and my activism has ranged from electoral organizing; anti-police terror work; freedom for political prisoners and prisoners of war; to organizing against violence against women.
